VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

You can be anywhere in the world if you want to help as long as you have a good computer and reliable internet access.

Some ideas for what you need volunteers for can be seen from our help wanted page.

We are particularly interested in foreign language volunteers to translate parts our web site into different languages.  Native speakers are a big priority.  German is by far our top priority here.  See Below.

We are also interested in having people on the ground in key foreign nations who can send us on the scene reports.

If you are interested in volunteering, please send e-mail to worldfuturefund@gmail.com .  Please list areas of research that are of most interest to you and your skills in these areas.  A resume would be useful.

THE ADVANTAGES OF VOLUNTEERING

Becoming a volunteer with the World Future Fund offers advantages that can benefit the education and experience of a volunteer.

  • Gain valuable professional experience.  The experience gained through volunteering with the World Future Fund has applicability in a large number of fields.  These include public policy, environmental studies, historical studies, professional translation work, journalism, Internet publishing, and more.  We will provide excellent references for volunteers who do good work.
  • Gain research experience.  Our work is heavily geared toward providing first-rate documentary sources for scholarly study.  Learn how to do research from the world's leading sources of information from online sources to the national archives of the world's major nations.
  • Acquire useful computer skills.  We work with the latest computer software, including the latest versions of Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and others.  Volunteers who already know how to use a computer will expand their skills and deepen their knowledge of computer and Internet publishing software.
  • Meet people with similar interests.  Learn about and meet people around the world with similar interests.
  • Earn yourself a position with us.  Volunteers whose work is very good could become paid consultants or be hired as staff members.

GERMAN RESEARCH PROJECT

We are seeking volunteers to assist us with our research efforts in Germany  Our goal is to monitor political trends in modern Europe, particularly Germany, as well as to study history and philosophy.

Our number one need here is translators to translate parts of our web into German.  We can also use writers and researchers.

As Europe unites, it will become a global power equal to the United States.  The center of Europe is Germany.  Today, Germany is in a stronger position in Europe than at any other time in the past 500 years.  The power of today's Germany is not as apparent as it might be due to the deliberate effort of German leaders to understate this power as a result of the legacy of the two World Wars.  We believe it is important to monitor Germany in order to understand the future of modern Europe.  Please see our page on Germany: Past and Present for some of our interests here.  We also try to follow German popular culture.  Here are some of our links pages on this subject:  German Metal Links  and German Popular Culture Links.

Requirement:

  • Ability to speak, write and read German fluently

If you are interested in volunteering, please send e-mail to worldfuturefund@aol.com .  Please list areas of research that are of most interest to you and your skills in these areas.  A resume would be useful.

FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEERS

Ideally we are looking for some well-connected people who could help us raise large amounts of capital.  We need assistance from experienced volunteers in raising funds for two of our major projects, The Global Future Watch Indicators Project and The Global Totalitarianism Research Project.  We are seeking volunteers to help with foundation research, letter writing, and proposal preparation for these projects.
